Research and development

RIL is committed to research and development to support consultancy work in glacial hazards. Our research is backed by publications in international, peer-reviewed journals and specialist volumes.

RIL is supporting currently two NERC CASE PhD studentships on aspects of glacial hazards at the Universities of Aberystwyth and Swansea, with fieldwork being undertaken in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal.

We aim to promote international and inter-institutional collaboration, and have formal or informal links with organisations including:
