Earthquake preparedness in Romania
RIL was commissioned by the British Embassy in Bucharest, Romania, to assist with its earthquake contingency planning. Prof. John Reynolds, MD of RIL, spent a week at the embassy providing training sessions on earthquake preparedness, observing an earthquake exercise, and generally providing further support in the Post's development of a comprehensive contingency plan. This follows on from previous and substantive contributions to earthquake preparedness by Prof. Reynolds for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) at a number of British embassies in the Middle East, Central Europe and Asia
